This site was a typical CMS website, where the SEO considerations come after the site is built, leaving us with little to be done with on-page seo. We had to compromise a lot for on-page seo, but compensated with off-page activities. When we started with this site, it barely received 1-2 visitors a day, because it was buried somewhere on pages 7-12 on SERPs for all keywords.
In less than 4 months the site showed up on the first page of Google for the valuable keyword terms, "Fishing Tours" and “Fishing Trips”. In next 2 months, we had more keywords on page1. The site continues to gain visitors and new leads every day.

We had started appearing in top 30 but moving on to first page not being possible even despite a continuous effort for 4-5 months. But neither us nor the client were willing to give up and we continued the efforts, to see the site in top 10 after a campaign run for 8 months. And it even improved after the campaign stopped and is still spotted in top 5 for many keywords, even when an year is passed since the campaign is stopped.
